Project Overview
N8V (pronounced Native) is a platform designed to empower individuals during major life transitions. Their vision is to create a supportive community that helps users navigate challenges like moving abroad, finding a partner, or changing careers. N8V aims to remove the burden of uncertainty by providing guidance and fostering connections with like-minded people.
We were tasked with developing a fun, vibrant, and modern brand identity for N8V that conveyed their vision.

The Problem
N8V’s goal is ambitious. Many brands are built to solve the problem of one demographic. However, N8V’s goal is to create a brand that will serve multiple demographics. We needed to create a brand that was inclusive and could work to serve the many types of people who would be interacting with the brand.

The Crevtus Way
To create a brand that feels approachable and relevant across different demographics, we explored the concept of unity and connection as the focal point of N8V’s mission. Our focus was on building a brand identity that could be playful, serious, and everything in between, reflecting the vision and nature of N8V's services.

The Craft
Logo
The logo is a wordmark inspired by triangles that symbolise unity. The stylized "8" resembles an infinity symbol, representing the limitless power of community.
Colour System
We chose a bright purple as the primary colour and warm pastel colours to create a friendly, bright and vibrant feel. We also created an extended palette to reflect the broad demographic that N8V serves.
Typography
The selection of "Space Mono" as N8V's display font was a deliberate choice to give the brand a touch of personality while maintaining a clean, modern aesthetic. We also paired it with the Nunito Sans font to improve readability.
Visual Identity System
We created a visual identity system based on the logo.
This system reinforces the brand's message of connection and the limitless power of community and serves as the foundation for icons, illustrations, and other visual elements.
We created a pattern system which utilizes the same core element (i.e. triangles) in both filled and stroked styles and can function equally well in colour or monochrome. This flexibility enables N8V to adapt to various situations and demographics while preserving brand consistency.
By utilising an extensive colour palette, flexible iconography, and a pattern system, we developed an identity that is flexible and can range from light-hearted to serious while still maintaining the essence of the brand consistently, across various media formats (digital and print).
Simple Website
We created a simple 'bento' style landing page, that acted as a wiki for all relevant N8V information. It also acted as a lead magnet, registering new members and funnelling them through their algorithm to match them with other members of the community with similar interests.
The mission of empowering and connecting people during life's major transitions was accomplished with the launch of N8V's brand identity and website. The website and brand identity of N8V improved the experience of both current and prospective members of the community by creating a warm and encouraging atmosphere that increased lead generation and membership retention.

Impact
The N8V brand identity is designed to be flexible, friendly, and visually engaging. The various elements work together to create a brand that feels welcoming and supportive, reflecting N8V's mission to empower individuals through life's transitions.
