Project Overview

Last year, HireMe reached out to us with an audacious mission: they wanted to bridge the gap in the African career industry.

We were tasked with crafting a distinct identity in the African recruitment space, designing a web app that enables their operations, and designing a website that conveys everything.

The Problem

HireMe serves a multi-person target audience, making it easy for information to get lost. We needed to develop a brand strategy that attends to each group's needs and a brand identity that stands out in the recruitment space.

The Crevtus Way

We began with a series of in-depth strategy workshops with the founders, spending time to thoroughly understand why they set out on this mission.

After this, we conducted interviews and competitive research to develop a comprehensive understanding of the different audience sets and find the most effective ways to engage them. This was vital to refine the brand’s features and make it something that benefits people's careers.

The Craft

Verbal Identity

In collaboration with the HireMe team, we created their verbal identity, which contained their brand tagline, mission, vision, values, vocabulary, writing guidelines, and communication goals.

Visual Identity and Language

As HireMe inches closer to its vision of connecting 100,000,000+ candidates to their dream companies over the next decade, we had to create a strong visual identity to enhance the brand.

To achieve this, we explored multiple ideas - all based on HireMe’s brand story. This led us to a visual identity that paired clean and modern elements, with visual motifs, and youthful yet legible typography.

Web App Design

We designed an app that candidates, employers, and institutions could all use to solve their needs. Building off the visual identity, we created a design system that served as the foundation for the interface providing elements that they could grow into as the brand evolved.

Additionally, we made sure that the web application's content was planned with potential future uses in mind, designing an architecture that functions well at the MVP stage and is resilient enough to support growth.

Impact

After our design was done, we worked with the team to ensure that it was developed appropriately, creating a product that would take HireMe closer to achieving its vision.

The brand’s identity and platform supported by the team’s incredible launch and growth strategy have been able to garner over 10 thousand subscribers as HireMe continues to step into new realms of bridging the gap in Africa.
